Production Planner


The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring the purchase orders of his CFT (Customer focus team). He works closely with program managers and CFT buyers to maintain the integrity and visibility of his production schedule. Its main objective is to provide a promised date for all purchase orders and to help maintain them. His position is an important pivot point between production and customer management. He therefore acts as a representative of his CFT.

Plan and schedule purchase orders for his CFT

  • Plan purchase orders
  • Open work orders, schedule them by ensuring the availability of the material
  • Maintain the production plan and schedule
  • Coordinate and prioritize the production schedule at all stages according to customer requests and equipment availability
  • Prioritize kit development based on customer requests and equipment availability
  • Lead daily CFT meetings to constantly monitor changes that may impact the production plan or schedule;
  • Inform the various departments on the status of the:

i)       Impacts of a change
ii)      Delivery dates of the equipment

  • Make regular projections, when necessary, based on customer needs to reduce stock shortages or overstocking.

Maintains the integrity of the company's various management systems in relation to the performance of its functions

  • Ensure updating in the various systems (MRP, Database, Excel and others);
  • Ensure the monitoring of the integrity of roadmaps and production batches;
  • Measure different KPIs:

i) Publish and present the KPIs (performance indicators) of his team


  • DEC in operations and production management, industrial engineering or other related fields combined with 8-10 years of experience as a production planner or scheduler;
  • Experience in manufacturing, either electronic or in a related environment
  • Experience with recognized planning or scheduling tools
  • Very good knowledge of material request planning (MRP)
  • Mastery of the Office suite, including advanced Excel level
  • Bilingual spoken and written
