Buyer

JOB SUMMARY

The Buyer purchases components according to the requirements specified in the quotations and based on the MRP in order to meet the needs of both our internal and external customers.

 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Coordinate procurement of components
  • Maintain relations with internal customers
  • Action certain RFQ requirements
  • Update information in the database
  • Select and recommend suppliers based on production requirements
  • Negotiate with the suppliers
  • Manage inventory requirements
  • Maintaining the MRP System
  • Analyze the "Clear-To-Build" report and take the necessary actions to solve the problems
  • Evaluate suppliers (or subcontractors) and recommend actions to be taken
  • Address issues related to internal, external customers or suppliers
  • Prepare daily and weekly procurement reports to ensure clear visibility of CTB dates for internal and external customers  


REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience
  • College diploma in procurement management or a combination of relevant experience
  • French/English spoken and written
  • Good computer skills (Advanced Excel)
  • Expertise with inventory management systems (ERP/MRP)
  • Knowledge of electronic components
